Hard ceramic clear coats, soft clears, old single-stage paint: most compounds handle one of those well and struggle with the rest. 3D ACA 510 Premium Rubbing Compound is built to correct all of them. It's infused with Alpha Ceramic Alumina, an abrasive engineered to level paint quickly while generating less heat. You get fast, controlled correction with less risk of overheating the panel.

Alpha Ceramic Alumina abrasives

The ACA abrasive is designed for high-speed levelling at lower temperatures. It's aggressive enough for today's hardest ceramic clear coats, yet it still works well on softer clears and single-stage paint. One compound covers almost every car that comes through your workshop or garage.

Water-based and easy to work with

ACA 510's water-based formula makes it easy to apply and easy to clean up. It works best in the shade, but it's also sun-friendly, so a warm day won't stop you. It contains no harmful solvents and no crystalline silica.

How to use

1. Prep: wash, decontaminate and dry the paint.
2. Pad: fit a wool or foam cutting pad to your rotary or DA polisher.
3. Prime: apply a small amount of ACA 510 to the pad.
4. Test spot: do a small section first to check the level of correction.
5. Cut: work small sections with slow, overlapping passes and steady pressure.
6. Wipe off: remove the residue with a clean microfibre towel and inspect the finish.
7. Finish: follow with 3D ACA 520 on a black foam pad for a glass-like shine.
8. Protect: apply a wax, sealant or ceramic coating.

Pro tips

• Wool cuts faster, foam finishes cleaner: choose based on how bad the paint is.
• Work in the shade where you can: it's sun-friendly, but cool panels give the best results.
• Clean your pad often: brush or blow it out every section or two.
• Always finish with a polish: compounding leaves light haze that 520 removes.

ACA 510 or ACA 500?

Both are stage 1 compounds. ACA 510 is a water-based all-rounder for hard clears, soft clears and single-stage paint. For the heaviest defects, step up to ACA 500 X-Tra Cut.
