Heavy defects normally mean an aggressive compound, a lot of heat and a dusty mess. 3D ACA 500 X-Tra Cut is different. It's built on Alpha Ceramic Alumina abrasive technology, which delivers fast, true paint correction while keeping surface temperatures down. That means more control, less risk and a longer working time.

It's stage 1 of 3D's True Paint Correction system. Cut with ACA 500, then finish with ACA 520.

Alpha Ceramic Alumina technology

ACA abrasives cut efficiently on every paint type, from older soft paints to today's hard ceramic clear coats, which many compounds struggle with. Because the abrasive does the work rather than heat and pressure, you get fast correction with less heat build-up on the panel.

How to use

1. Prep: wash, decontaminate and dry the paint.
2. Pad: fit a wool or foam cutting pad to your rotary or DA polisher.
3. Prime: apply a small amount of ACA 500 to the pad.
4. Test spot: do a small section first to check the level of correction.
5. Cut: work small sections with slow, overlapping passes and steady pressure.
6. Wipe off: remove the residue with a clean microfibre towel and inspect the finish.
7. Finish: follow with 3D ACA 520 on a black foam pad for a hologram-free, glass-like shine.
8. Protect: apply a wax, sealant or ceramic coating.

Pro tips

• Wool for maximum cut, foam for a cleaner finish: choose based on how bad the paint is.
• Still work in the shade where you can: the formula is sun-friendly, but cool panels give the best results.
• Clean your pad often: brush or blow it out every section or two.
• Don't skip stage 2: heavy cut always benefits from a finishing polish.

ACA 500 or ACA 510?

Both are stage 1 compounds. ACA 500 X-Tra Cut is the more aggressive choice for the heaviest defects. ACA 510 Premium Rubbing Compound is a water-based all-rounder for hard clears, soft clears and single-stage paint.
