Description
For the metal grime normal cleaners can't shift.
Bare aluminium wheels, truck rims, chassis parts and stainless steel build up oxidation, scale and baked-in grime that ordinary wheel cleaners barely touch. Vintex Alumax is a concentrated acidic descaler made for exactly those jobs. It breaks down stubborn grime and oxidation fast and brings metal back to a clean, bright condition, ready for polishing or protection.
Key features
- Heavy-duty acidic formula: removes stubborn grime, oxidation and scale quickly
- Concentrated: dilute from 1:5 to 1:20, so one bottle goes a long way
- Versatile: bare aluminium wheels, chassis, engine components, aluminium toolboxes and stainless steel
- Professional grade: built for workshops, fleets, detailers and industrial use
- Bulk sizes: 1 L, 5 L and 20 L
Dilution guide
| Job | Dilution (Alumax : water) |
|---|---|
| Heavy oxidation and grime | 1:5 |
| Medium cleaning | 1:10 |
| Light cleaning and maintenance | 1:20 |
How to use
- Dilute: mix to suit the job. 1:10 is a good starting point.
- Prep: make sure the surface is cool and out of direct sun.
- Apply: spray evenly using an acid-resistant sprayer such as the iK Multi Pro 9 or iK Multi Pro 2.
- Dwell: leave it to work for 1–2 minutes. Don't let it dry on the surface.
- Rinse: rinse thoroughly with water to remove all residue.
Safety and surfaces
- Wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection.
- Test first on a small, hidden area.
- Not suitable for painted, clear-coated, powder-coated, chrome or anodised surfaces.
- Keep it off paint and glass, and rinse off any overspray immediately.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Need a degreaser too?
Pair it with Vintex Removex for oil and grease, or get both in the Vintex Alumax + Removex Kit. For everyday cleaning of painted or clear-coated wheels, use a non-acid cleaner like Car Candy Burst instead.
