Description
Heavy cut, cooler and more controlled.
The Lake Country CCS Cutback Yellow Cutting Foam Pad is built for heavy correction on dual-action polishers. It removes deep swirls, scratches and imperfections, while Lake Country's CCS (Controlled Cell Structure) Technology™ keeps the cut consistent, reduces heat and makes your compound go further.
What is CCS?
The pad face is covered in small pockets (the CCS cells) that change how the pad works on the paint:
- Gradual compound release: the pockets hold compound and release it slowly as you work, giving even application and less wasted product.
- No skipping: the pockets reduce surface tension, so the pad stays flat on the paint for smooth, controlled correction.
- Less heat: less surface contact means less friction, cooler running and longer life for both the pad and the compound.

- CCS Technology™: even product release and reduced heat

- Prep: wash, decontaminate and dry the paint.
- Prime the pad: spread a small amount of compound across the face and into the CCS pockets.
- Test spot: start with a small section to check the cut.
- Cut: keep the pad flat and work small sections with slow, overlapping passes.
- Clean the pad: brush or blow it out every section or two.
- Refine: follow with a polishing or finishing pad for maximum gloss.
Pad care
- Wash after use with warm water and a pad cleaner, or use a pad washer like the Lake Country System 4000.
- Air-dry face down.
FAQs
Can I use it on a rotary?
It's designed for dual-action and random orbital polishers.
How much compound do I need?
Less than with flat pads. The CCS pockets hold and release compound gradually.
What should I follow it with?
A polishing pad, then a finishing pad, such as the Lake Country SDO Orange Polishing Pad and SDO Black Finishing Pad.
