Why cerium oxide?

Glass is much harder than paint, so ordinary car polishes barely touch it. Cerium oxide is specifically suited to polishing glass. It gently refines the surface to remove light defects and mineral deposits, leaving the glass smooth, bright and transparent.

How to use

1. Clean: wash and dry the glass, removing any loose dirt and grime.
2. Mask: tape off rubber seals, trim and surrounding paintwork.
3. Apply: put a small amount of 3D Glass Polish on a felt polishing pad, or directly onto the glass.
4. Polish: use a rotary polisher with a felt pad and work a small section at a time with overlapping passes.
5. Keep it moving: don't let the glass get hot. Feel it regularly and pause if it's warming up.
6. Wipe off: remove the residue with a clean microfibre towel.
7. Inspect: check the glass from several angles and repeat on any stubborn areas.
8. Protect: follow with a glass coating or rain repellent to keep it clear for longer.

Pro tips

• Spritz with water: a light mist on the pad or glass keeps the polish working and helps manage heat.
• Do the wiper zone first: it's usually the most marked area of the windscreen.
• Set expectations: light scratches and wiper marks polish out, but scratches deep enough to catch a fingernail may need professional glass repair.
• Exterior glass only: don't use it on the inside of windows with aftermarket tint film.
